Danone Indonesia is committed to designing sustainable packaging to keep food and beverages at their best quality. Danone Indonesia also puts the highest effort on its waste management system to ensure it can be practically recycled, reused or combined.

WATER

Positive water impact, returning more water than used

Danone is committed to preserving water springs and the natural environment, by encouraging water circulation in and around production sites, and providing safe drinking water for people and communities in need.

CARBON

Danone is committed to becoming a carbon neutral company

Danone Indonesia pledged in our 2015 Climate Policy to be a carbon neutral company by 2050 across our value chain. Our net zero carbon commitment means that we are responsible for carbon emissions from where we supply our materials to the facilities that manage packaging after our products are consumed.

PROGRESS AND INNOVATION FOR CONSUMERS

Supported by Danone Nutricia Research-Sarihusada Research & Innovation (R&I) Center with international standards equipped with the latest scientific expertise and technology at the Sarihusada Yogyakarta Factory.

TOGETHER PREVENT STUNTING

To support nutritional fulfillment at 1000 HPK, Danone Indonesia is developing a program to support the government to reduce stunting in children by providing interventions in the four aspects of the cycle that causes stunting.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia

As an effort to support access to education for children who have challenges in various regions in Indonesia, Danone Indonesia has established a partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to provide Education Access Support and Nutrition Improvement for Students in order to support Merdeka Belajar Program.

Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI)

Collaboration between Nutricia and IMERI FK UI to support the pre-senior and senior population to prepare various efforts so that people can stay healthy as they getting older through the launch of a Module for health workers entitled Healthy Aging Module as a Prevention Strategy for Non-Communicable Diseases in Elderly population.

Indonesian Hydration Working Group (IHWG)

Partnership with IHWG to raise awareness of the importance of proper hydration in daily life and provide knowledge regarding healthy hydration and health to the wider community, including information related to fluid needs with special conditions such as pregnant and lactating women, the elderly, and children.

Indonesian Nutrition Association (INA)

Danone Indonesia collaborates with the Indonesian Nutrition Association (INA) in increasing public knowledge about the importance of nutrition and its relationship to environmental health for the health of the nation as well as the use of digital media for nutrition and health education such as webinars and podcasts.

Partnership with the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN)

As the agency that has been appointed by the Government as the Head of the Implementing Program for the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction, the BKKBN realizes that cooperation with several strategic partners is needed to accelerate its efforts. BKKBN and Danone Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding and synergized the two parties’ strategic programs to prevent stunting. BKKBN has a flagship program, namely Bangga Kencana to support the acceleration of stunting reduction in Indonesia, where Danone Indonesia also has an umbrella

Warung Anak Sehat

The Healthy Children’s Warung (WAS) program provides training to Healthy Children’s Warung (IWAS) mothers to sell or process healthy food products. Running since 2011, this program involves 350 canteen owners spread across 4 cities

Damping UMKM

Assistance activities for small and medium businesses in a series of training, coaching and sharing sessions. To date, the Damping program has provided benefits to more than 5,000 entrepreneurs and 2,300 alumni from the mentoring program

Recycling Business Unit

Empower 10,000 waste pickers. Aimed at professionalizing the informal recycling sector while increasing income, health and safety for the scavenger community.

Empowerment of Surrounding Communities

Empowering communities around 26 Danone Indonesia factories. Socially and economically it impacts more than 52 groups, 1,400 people and increases production of 67 commodities
